A New Blog Series

Hello friends! So, I've thought of a new series I could do here on my blog: 'My Favorite Verses of The Bible'! Let's start today, why don't we?

My favorite verse of all is in Psalms, Chapter 139. Though I do have a tattoo of Psalms 91:4 on my foot, this verse, in chapter 139, is my all time favorite. Although it was hard to choose a favorite:

Search me, God, and know my heart

test me and know my anxious thoughts.

See if there is any offensive way in me,

and lead me in the way everlasting.

Psalms 139:23-24

You might be asking, "Why did you choose this one as your favorite?" Well, I can't really explain it, but I will tell you what each line means to me. 'Search me God and know my heart' is something that I have prayed before I even knew about this verse. And "test me and know my anxious thoughts' reminds me another favorite verse of mine, 1 Peter 5:7:

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

As someone who has anxiety from time to time, this verse gives me comfort. 'See if there is an offensive way in me,' seems perfect because I am someone who likes to know when I am doing something wrong so I can change it. Lastly, 'and lead me in the way everlasting.' Don't you just love that? "the way everlasting." It just sounds beautiful to me. And, after all, I do want to be the salt of the earth and walk with Jesus in the way everlasting!

Well, friends, I cannot tell you how long this series will be. I might do a week of it then pick up at a later date, I'm not sure. Regardless, it is another adventure we will go on together!
