Abundant Grace

Hello friends! Today we continue with our grace hunt in the Bible. Let's start with 2 Corinthians 12:9.

But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."

The word sufficient usually means enough or adequate, but we know that the grace God gives to us is more than that. As discussed on Tuesday, He lavished His grace on us. He gave us more than we needed, more than enough. He didn't portion out just the right amount but He gave it to us in abundance.

Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Hebrews 4:16

Notice how grace appears twice in this sentence. Approach His throne of grace so that we may find grace.

But He gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:

"God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble."

James 4:6

He gives us more grace. More than we need, more than we deserve, and more than we can ever imagine. His forgiveness is incomparable.

But because of his great love for us, God, wo is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions - it is by grace you have been saved.

Ephesians 2:4 & 5

Grace isn't just something God gave us. Forgiveness isn't simply a gift, it is much more than that. It is the very reason that we are saved. It is the very reason that we aren't condemned. Can you join me in finding joy about that today? Not only did God give us the key to salvation, He gave it to us abundantly.

We still have about 3 more blog post of this grace search so, I will see you next week.
