Dropping Fear Of Failure And Sprouting Success Through God

Hello friends and welcome to Blogtober. This year’s concept is an autumnal metaphor that I came up with: In fall, trees drop dry, decaying leaves that are not beneficial to the tree. In the same manner, uswhobelieve, can drop things (at the feet of Jesus) that are not beneficial. And, just as the trees sprout new leaves, we can replace our ‘dead leaves’ with good.

Our ‘dead leaf’ that we can drop today is: Failure.

The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.

Psalms 37:23-24

We may stumble, make mistakes, and fail at things; but with God we will not fall.

Now, I want to take things in a different direction for this blog. In my third blog post on this blog, the first one in which I found my style of writing, I talked about how failure looks different on our walk with Christ. I want to just touch on somethings I wrote then because I feel like it is just perfect for our ‘dead leaf’ today:

Google defines failure as lack of success and defines lack to be without or have less than a desired quantity of something, but how many times have you desired something, and it has not been the right timing? We know the Lord's timing is good, but we also have our own agenda. We want things when we want them.

So, let’s go back to that word that we all hate, failure. When we fail at something it could possibly be the wrong timing. And when we fail, we learn something new from just trying, but we avoid what we failed in. Because failure lingers where you have already failed and sometimes it’s hard to try again. But we forget the outcome changes every time we try something. Now let’s define success. "The accomplishment of an aim or a purpose." But do we not find purpose in God? Is His aim not perfect?

Knowing what to put your aim towards is never easy because we could fail so what’s the point of trying? Because you could SUCCEED! I'm reminded of that quote you see all over Facebook: "But what if I fall, but darling what if you fly?!" And in my opinion when you’re on God's agenda even when we fail, we find success.

Our ‘leaf’ of failure has fallen away and now we can sprout success through God.

Something I felt God just say: Failure doesn’t differ from success too much. A house full of success has happiness and a house full of failure has happiness because life is bursting at the seams with joy. You just have to know where to look.

So, matter if you are struggling with failure or success in your life, there is always joy to be found and joy to be had.
