Dropping Hinderance And Sprouting Help From God
Hello friends and welcome to Blogtober. This year’s concept is an autumnal metaphor that I came up with: In fall, trees drop dry, decaying leaves that are not beneficial to the tree. In the same manner, uswhobelieve, can drop things (at the feet of Jesus) that are not beneficial. And, just as the trees sprout new leaves, we can replace our ‘dead leaves’ with good.
Our ‘dead leaf’ that we can drop today is: Hinderance.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:1
Throw off hinderances and sin that entangles us and instead fix our eyes on Jesus! Let’s run the race marked out for us (a.k.a. life)!
How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word.
Psalm 119:9
So, how do we keep on track with this race, as mentioned above? By living according to God’s word!
I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.
Romans 16:17
We must also watch out for obstacles that come from others.
There are a lot of snares, holes, obstacles, and hinderances on this path called life, but when we have Christ with us, we are free from falling into every crevasse and every trapping circumstance. We have someone there, holding our hand, pulling us up and out of hidden snares and holes. Someone who brings us great joy. So, let’s embrace such joy today!
Our ‘leaf’ of hinderance has fallen away and now we can sprout the help that comes from God’s eternal love.
