My Prayer for my Readers
As I pray my prayer that I always pray before my hands hit the keyboard: "Father, open my heart, my ears, my eyes, and mind so that I may receive, hear, see, and know what it is you have for me to write today." I can't help, but think of all those who might read my words. The wonderful people who might just find encouragement from what I have to say - what GOD has to say.
"I ask that what I write is Your words, not my words. And that what I write is Biblically sound." I don't know those, who will read these words I write, I don't know what they are going through. I don't know their struggles or burdens... "Father, take control of my hands and my keyboard, O God..." I don't know if they can muster enough strength to smile today because I have been there. I know what that's like. "Let these words I write be of You and not of this world. And let anyone that might need to hear these words, God..." Some of those who might read this... they might be lost... "Let it reach them. Let it reach them...."
"Let them find joy in You today. Let them have the light of life. Draw them close to you, God. Pull them near." I cannot reach them with my own arms... my own hands, but the Father can. I cannot tell them that it is all going to be okay. I cannot explain to them how important it is to smile - to find joy. "Open their hearts and minds, so that they may know you Father." But I will tell them to anyway, even if they get tired of hearing it. Because I count myself an advocate for joy. And I am relentless...
"I ask for joy for them in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen..."
