Seek Peace

Hello friends and welcome back to our theme, peace. Today we continue on in our endeavor to locate peace in the Bible.

Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

Psalms 34:14

Seek peace and pursue it. This reminds me of another verse.

Buy the truth and do not sell it.

Proverbs 23:23

It has a similar ring to it, right? And when we buy the truth, we arguably also buy peace because peace comes with the truth, the gospel, and the word of God. So, buy peace, seek it, and pursue it.

Consider the blameless, observe the upright; a future awaits those who seek peace.

Psalms 37:37

Our future awaits. A future full of peace because that what is what we have bought, pursued, and sought after. That is what is promised to us in His word. Because we know the truth, we have peace.

When the Lord takes pleasure in anyone's way, he causes their enemies to make peace with them.

Proverbs 16:7

When we stay on the path of righteousness and are aligned with God, we don't need to worry about our enemies because our enemies are His enemies and He is the just judge. So we can just have peace.

Well, my friends, I hope you seek peace in everything. Don't worry about other people and what they say or do. Just stay in step with God and dwell on His truths. In the mist of hard times, God is always with us, and because He is with us, we can have peace in those hard times; and thus, we can smile.
