The Glue
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword. Romans 8:35
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
Hello friends. Welcome back to 30 Days of Gratitude. Today I am thankful that no one can separate me from God. I speculated in one of my Blogtober posts that I think a big reason why we cannot be separated from God is because Jesus Christ dwells in us. In our hearts. It is only because of what Jesus did that we are able to come to God at all. So, it makes sense that He is the glue that connects us to the Father. After all the verse above does say ‘the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.’
So I am thankful for that glue, Jesus Christ, and that nothing in this life, not even death, can separate me from my God. I am sealed, marked, sacred. Nothing will ever be able to change that. Because of that, I can live life without fear. Because He is with me, for me, and if He is with me and for me, who can be against me?
So, my friends, be thankful for that today. Nothing can tear you away from God’s embrace, because you are filled with His Son. So, surround yourself with that embrace and smile. You did nothing to earn it, but it was a labor of love from Christ himself. So, the least you could do in find some joy in it.
