The Love We Have For Others

Hello friends and welcome back to Abounding In Love. I'm sorry this series has been pushed to the back burner, but I still want to finish it and I will today.

I know I had planned to do a verse hunt for all of our key words, but I think I'm going to stop after the love ones, since we have taken such a huge break from it, and that way we can move onto another series. I hope you guys are understanding.

If you've seen the last part of this series, in August (yikes), you will recognize this list:

  1. The love God has for us

  2. The love we have for Him

  3. The love we have for others

Last time, we looked for the second one on our hunt for love in the Bible and today, we are going to focus on the third and final one. Let's dive in.

Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.
Hebrews 13:1

Show hospitality to strangers: This one is so hard to do, but is so important. I think it just starts with a smile and a family gesture.

Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.
Leviticus 19:17-18

Love each other as yourself: This reminds of the saying I was always told in childhood : "Treat others the way you would want to be treated."

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
Ephesians 4:2

Bear with one another: One word, my friends - GRACE. We need to have grace with people, for it was grace that saved us.

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.
Galatians 5:13

Serve one another: Whether it's reaching out a helping hand or providing a need, I think it's a good thing to remember: we are put on this Earth to serve God and to serve God, sometimes we need to serve others.

Thank you guys for bearing with me (lol just like Ephesians 4:2). I hope you guys enjoyed this series. I can't wait to see what God's got for this blog next. As always, find joy in today.
