Two Years Of Capturing Joy
If blogging has taught me one thing it's this: When you seek God, He comes. He meets you where you are. He gives you whatever you need, whether it be understanding or rest or words... He has given me words, the words to write.
In the blog, on my first ever blog-iversary, I wrote this:
'Hopefully I will still be writing this time next year, but we will see God's will come forth. But maybe, just maybe, I will blink my eyes again and it will be August 18th, 2022 and I will be writing to you again about my blog-iversary.'
My friends, it happened. I blinked my eyes again and another year has passed, a year of hardships and joy... a year of growth. With time seemingly moving faster on the daily, in the current, in the rush of it all, I try to grab onto joy. I grab it and put it into words that cannot possibly capture it. It's like looking at a photo, a snapshot. In the blur of time rushing, you can kind of see it, you can just barely make it out.
When I take time to write it down though, God slows the rush. He gives me words, and joy, and blends them into one. Blended nourishment for my soul that I share. It's not easy, sharing the private talks with the Father, but I love how, when I bring it to the keyboard, He wraps it up nicely with a bow. A nice neat package that I can send out into the internet.
My friends, how do I put such an amazing blogging journey into words? I go to my blog page and scroll. How do I put all of these words into fewer words for this post? It's all a blur, yet He makes it so clear:
If blogging has taught me one thing it's this: When you seek God, He comes. He meets you where you are. He gives you whatever you need, whether it be understanding or rest or words... He has given me words, the words to write.
And He has given me the joy too. There is joy to be found everywhere, you just have to keep your lens, the camera in your mind, out at all times, and when it comes, capture it.
