Updates and Gratitude
Wraping up Blogtober:
Hello friends! Well, I hope you enjoyed Blogtober. The purpose of Blogtober was to bring comfort through God to all of you, but I found comfort for myself too. God revealed so many things to me through the month. Some look at God as a rule book, but He isn't! He loves His children and is so compassionate.
He brings comfort to us in so many ways. He does so much for us and gives us gifts of the Spirit. He gives us what we need when we need it. He is a wonderful, sovereign God. I knew all of these things before Blogtober, of course, but I didn't realize just how much I needed to dive deeper into them. Sometimes you know things, like how Jesus died for us on the cross, but you hear them so much that they become kind of dull and you don't really think about how wonderful they are.
But when you really dive deeper into the meaning, it makes a Holy Ghost fire rise inside of you. I think all of us need to do that often. Blogtober kindled that fire that I so needed in these hard times. Even though it was a labor of love and I put a lot of hours into it, I can't help but feel sad that it is over. But onto other things!
Introducing 30 Days of Gratitude:
Now that we know all the ways God comforts us and all that He does for us; let's dedicate this month to thanking Him for those things. Giving thanks to the Lord isn't just for Thanksgiving! So let's show gratitude and change thanksgiving from holiday to habit!
For the next 30 days I am going to include something I am thankful for on my blog and I invite you to find something to be thankful for on the daily as well. But, I am changing things up. I decided I am going to take weekends off from blogging; at least for this month. We will see how it goes from there. So, Mondays and Fridays will include two things I am thankful for. I know this is going to change my status of 'daily blogger' but because Blogtober was a labor of love, I need a bit of a break. I hope you guys don't mind.
Smiling with thanks:
Well, that is all the updates for today. And because it is November 1st, I will start giving thanks today. Today I am thankful for you. My readers. I appreciate that you take the time to read my blogs and I love reading all the things that made you smile. It's amazing to hear that I somehow encouraged you through my blogs. I give all the credit to God there. I am so happy to have a community of positivity that is God centered in this time of uncertainty. So thank you so much! Find something to smile about today. I didn't say what made me smile through Blogtober, so I want to get back to that. Today I am smiling because of the happiness and fulfillment I get from writing to you about things that God brings to me.
