He Gives Us what we need
And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
2 Corinthians 9:8
Hello friends! Welcome back to Blogtober! Today is day nineteen. Our comfort today is that God gives us what we need. He provides! No matter what you need, it will come in due time if you ask the Father for it.
Matthew 7:7-8: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find: knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
Mark 11:24: Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer believe that you have received it and it will be yours.
Whether it be food or drink:
Matthew 6:31-32: So, do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we eat? Or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly father knows that you need them.
Genesis 9:3: Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.
Job 38:37-41: Who has the wisdom to count the clouds? Who can tip over the water jars of the heavens when the dust becomes hard and the clods of earth stick together? Do you hunt the prey for the lioness and satisfy the hunger of lions when they crouch in their dens or lie in wait in a thicket? Who provides food for the raven when its young cry out to God and wander about for lack of food?
Psalm 34:10: The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.
Psalm 107:8-9: Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.
Psalm 136:25: He gives food to every creature. His love endures forever.
Psalm 145:15-16: The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.
If He provides for the lions and gives food to every creature and if we are created in His image, then how much more would He do for us?
Matthew 6:25-27: Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much valuable then they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
Matthew 6:28-30: And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which here is today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you – you of little faith?
If follow Him than we are His children. And if we are his children will He not provide like a Father would?
Matthew 7:9-11: “Which of you, if your son askes for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give food gifts to you children, how much more will you Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!”
Psalm 84:11: For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor: no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.
1 John 3:20-22: If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. Dear friends, if your hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.
He sacrificed His only Son for us! Because we needed it. If He did that then what else would He withhold from us?
Romans 8:32-33: He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all – how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen it is God who justifies!
Philippians 4:19: And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
There you have it my friends! God will provide whatever you need when you need it. Not when you want it, when you need it. There have been times when me and my husband have needed money. And it always came from somewhere, but when we wanted money, it did not come. Can you embrace that? Can you take comfort in God; that He will not let you go without! Smile about it! You have a Father that takes care of you.
