He Gives us Wisdom

For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

Proverbs 2:6

Hello friends! Welcome back to Blogtober! Today is day twenty-three. Our comfort today is that God gives us wisdom. Here is the first gift we will go over in the final stretch to day 31. Although we did talk about how God gives us what we need in day 19 didn’t we… hmm. Anyway! He gives us wisdom. I get to use my analogy that I like to think I made up. Chewing gum! If you missed the blog that I talked about it, it pretty much means this:

God is all knowing. He has all wisdom. He gives us little pieces of wisdom to chew on, one at a time, (Chewing gum) because if He opened our eyes to everything at once, I believe our human brains might just implode. Thus, He gives us the pieces of wisdom we need, when we need it, to chew on; until we are ready for the next one.

So now let’s curl up with THE good book and see what it says about gaining wisdom:

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7

How much better to get wisdom than gold, to get insight rather than silver. Proverbs 16:16

To the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the tasks of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over the one who pleases God. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind. Ecclesiastes 2:26

It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God- that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 1 Corinthians 1:30

My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:2-3

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. James 1:5

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure, then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. James 3:17

In conclusion we can gather that God gives wisdom that is worth more than gold to the person who pleases him, as well as happiness. And it is all because we are in Christ Jesus, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Also, that if any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. And lastly that all wisdom that comes from heaven is pure, peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, and sincere. Can you find comfort and joy in that today, friends? All you have to do is ask the father for wisdom and it will come.
