He has Plans for You

“For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Jeremiah 29:11

Hello friends! Welcome back to Blogtober! Today is day twenty-one. Our comfort today is He has plans for each one of us. Your name passed through His lips before the earth was even created. He created you and wants so much for you.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10

If He knew your name before you were born, surely, He also knew His plans for your life.

How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all on those who take refuge in you. Psalm 31:19

But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. Psalm 33:11

The LORD Almighty has sworn, “Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will happen." Isaiah 14:24

Any desires in your heart, that are according to His plan, He will fulfill for you.

Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. Proverbs 16:3

Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalms 37:4

The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them. Psalm 145:18-19

The only desires He will not fulfill are those that are not in His plans. On the outside this may seem harsh, but He is all knowing. He can see what is ahead, so He knows what is good for you and what is not. Everything happens for a reason, so you never really know if that the grass would be greener on the other side or if it is dead and withered. His plans are better than you could ever imagine or plan for yourself.

“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts then your thoughts." Isaiah 55:9

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work in us. Ephesians 3:20

He knows your future and there is good in it. How do I know? Well, God can only make good and if your life is in His hands, then only good can come from it.

There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off. Proverbs 23:18

So, my friends, your life is in good hands. He has had these plans for you before the creation of the earth. If He was able to predestine you like that, then surely He knows best. We are His children. Think back when you were a child, some things that your parents said that were for the better, didn’t seem like it at the time did it? But now that you are an adult, you understand. In the same way, we don’t understand why God does things. But He does understand. He is all knowing and all seeing. So, put your trust in Him and His plans for you. And His plans are better than anything you could ever imagine. Take comfort in knowing that your life will not go off the rails, because He will never give you more than you can take. Find some joy in that today. Your life has so much meaning. You just cannot see it right now.
