He Is Giving

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

James 1:17

Hello friends! Welcome back to Blogtober! Today is day twenty-two. My favorite number! Our comfort today is that God is giving. For the final stretch of Blogtober we will be focusing on all the things that God gives us and will round up the last day with our biggest gift of all. My hope is that all these gifts from the Father will comfort you. Then after Blogtober is ended we will have all that God has done for us, given to us, and all the ways He comforts us fresh in our minds so then, we can start thanking Him for all those things.

That’s right after Blogtober I am doing 30 days of gratitude for the month that is dedicated to being thankful – November! So, I will announce it on Facebook within the following weeks, but there is much to prepare for in advance. But for now, let’s take comfort in knowing that God is a giving God! We are going back to the shorter blogs! At least for today.

So, I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you: seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and the one who knows the door will be opened. Luke 11:9-10

Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 36:4

Whatever you may need you can go to the Father. It is because of Jesus Christ that we can even do that. So be joyous about that and know that the Father will give you what you need. I know it was only 3 verses today and simple, but it is just that. Simple. Ask, believe, and if it’s in His plan (like we went over yesterday) you will receive. God loves to give! Now the specifics of what He gives, we will go further into detail about. Thus, the rest of Blogtober will be dedicated to that.
