He is always With Us

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.

Joshua 1:5

Hello friends! Welcome back to Blogtober! Today is day twelve. Our comfort today is that God is always with us. What an amazing God He is to be with us like that. But He is; in fact it is even in His son’s name: Immanuel (which means “God with us”) Matthew 1:23. That is yet another thing that he has made clear as crystal!

I’ve been tallying up all the things God is through-out this series. So far, we have; the God of compassion, the God of comfort, the faithful God, and today we have yet another! ‘For the Lord your God is the merciful God; he will not abandon you or destroy you or forget the covenant with your ancestors, which He confirmed to them by oath.Deuteronomy 4:31 We’ve already went over how God will never leave us or forsake us via day 8’s comfort, but I had to add at least one verse about it with this comfort too.

Because if He is always with us then He never leaves or forsake us. So, they go hand and hand. I mentioned in day 9 of Blogtober is that He is in our hearts. So, I feel like that fits here too. And as far as all the things God is the God of, well He is the God of everything, but even though the bible doesn’t put it word for word, I’d also like to add that he is the Loving God from day 2, the listening God from day 3, the protecting God from day 7, and the healing God from yesterday's blog.

Maybe we could list them all in the very last blog of Blogtober. And just like I said in day 5. I think this just goes to show that He is the God of whatever you need him to be. If you need comfort, peace, protection, etc. He is there for you. He has his arms open wide for you, just waiting for you to walk in them. So, find some joy in that today and take comfort in knowing that God is with you, wherever you may go.

Curl up with THE good book
