He Is Good

The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.

Psalm 145:9

Hello friends! Welcome back to Blogtober! Today is day sixteen. Our comfort today is that God is good. And all the time He is good! I think everything we have talked about this month has proved that. He is the compassionate God. Let’s go back to going over verses again today. I know I keep switching up my formatting for these blogs, but it’s fun to experiment.

God is good:

Psalm 25:7-8: Do not remember the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me for you, LORD, are good. Good and upright is the LORD; there he instructs sinners in his ways.

Psalm 34:8: Taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. (He blesses)

Psalm 69:16: Answer me, LORD, out of the goodness of you love; in you great mercy, turn to me. (He loves us)

Psalm 86:5: You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call you. (forgiving and loving)

Psalm 135:3: Praise the Lord, for the LORD is good; sing praise to his name, for that is pleasant.

Nahum 1:7: The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. (He protects us)

Matthew 19:17: “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.”

And everything He does is good:

1 Timothy 4:4-5: For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.

Psalm 119:68: You are good, and what you do is good; teach me your decrees.

Psalms 33:4-5: For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. The Lord loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love. (He is faithful and loving)

And He does good things for us:

Psalms 31:19: How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you.

Psalms 107:8-9: Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things. (He loves us)

My friends, take comfort in knowing that your God is good. That all things He does is good and that all things He does for you is good. He will never do you an injustice. There is only good in Him and as we said yesterday, He can see what is ahead. So, if He can only do good to us and treat us fair and right; Why not trust Him? Smile and…
