No one can separate us from Him

Hello friends! Welcome back to Blogtober! Today is day nine. Our comfort today is that no one can separate us from God. From Romans 8:35 through the end of the chapter; Paul continues to talk about how no one and nothing can separate us from the love of God. Romans 8:38-39, ‘For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.’ I am convinced as well. There is absolutely nothing that can separate us.

I think a big reason why we cannot be separated is because He dwells in us. In our hearts. Galatians 2: 20, ‘I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by the faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.’ It is only because of what Jesus did that we are able to come to God at all. So, it makes sense that He also the glue that connects us to the father. After all it does say at the very end of the chapter that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

So, my friends, take comfort in that today. Nothing can tear you away from God’s embrace, because you are filled with His Son. So, surround yourself in His embrace and smile. You did nothing to earn it, but it was a labor of love from Christ himself. So, the least we can do in find some joy in it.
